I've bought a few secondhand things from Craigslist. You can find good deals, you just have to be careful and use common sense when meeting with someone. Especially if a good amount of money is involved.

I got a Gobi roof rack off Craigslist last month with all the accessories plus a Rugged Ridge mirror relocation kit for $1,100!
Pays to come home every night and see what new on the local CL listings.

Thule spare me bike rack $50
JKU rubi rails (brand new) $50
Warn xd9000 $440
brand new warn steel cable $30
Being in a large city like Atlanta helps for getting stuff cheap... the market is flooded with new jeep take-offs and aftermarket parts, keeping the prices low.
