Bought my wife a 2007 JKU on Oct 23rd 2006. The dealership I bought from had 3 JKU's on the lot. A red with a manual X-mission, A rescue green Sahara, and a black auto with the 24S package and 4.10 gearing. She fell in love with the black one. Was told it was the first JKU sold at the dealership. It currently has 77,650 miles and she still loves it.

I've had these longer then my Wrangler, the primered one I had for about 13 years, and the red and white one for about 5 years

Jeep should use you and your JK in a commercial, maybe hand you an award as well. That is some high miles! Imagine the cost of fuel in a JK over 240,000 miles! Lets say you average 15 mpg, that would be 16,000 gallons of gasoline. At an average of $4.00 a gallon (that is likely a low number), $64,000 in fuel cost. Damn.

I track every fill up in my 2012. At 80,000 miles I had spent $15,000 in gas. That is 0.1875 per mile. So 240,000 miles would cost $45,000. The 3.8L engine is 10% less efficient than my 3.6, so his fuel cost would be about $49,500. Why do you say gas cost $4.00 per gallon, that number seems way high for me. I think my average per gallon over the last 5 years was $2.73.

Correction: over 80,000 miles I used 4967.1 gallons. Cost $14,970.22 in gas. Average gas cost was $3.01 per gallon. Gas has been low over the last few years, so averaging close to $4 may be more realistic going back through the last decade.

The real commercial would be for the Max Care warranty. In July 2016 they installed a new tranny and driveshaft. I was $100 out of pocket.
