Default Armor-All JK tires or not?

Guys and lady's, I was cleaning up my jeep today after my Saturday trail ride and almost started to armor-all the tire but I stop. It just didn't feel right, I guess it was my typical routine. Sure it would have looked good but I did do it.

So is it OK to armor-all your JK tires or was my "feeling" correct?

By the way, I think whatever anyone wants to do with their JK is cool. I am just curious what the vote would be. Armor-all or not?

If your wheels extend past the fenders, I would not Armor-All....any excess will spatter on the rear fenders. If your tires are tucked under the fenders, it would probably be OK.

I never understood the whole armor all on tires thing. Once they're clean, that's good enough for me. Save the stuff for the dash.

Aside from shiny tires looking a little ridiculous on a Wrangler, the real reason not to use Armor-all on any tire is that the silicone in it dries out your tires. If you just a clean, fresh looking tire that is matte black check out Griot's Garage vinyl &rubber dressing. I'm sure there are others like it on the market but this stuff works great and is absorbed by the tire so that it doesn't fling off.

Haven't washed mine since I got it in November. Dealership was repairing the hardtop under warranty and I left it there for two days. Picked it up and they were nice enough to give a full detail... put armor all on the wheels and tires. It does look nice but not something I would do on a regular basis.

i do it periodically for uv protection , i dont see how silicone would dry them out . ive used it for 30 years and never had any tires dry out or get dry rot cracks . they also have a no gloss armor all

If your taking the time to wash and clean your jeep up, why not make the tires shine? Jeep can still go through mud and over rocks with shiney tires!
