Best music to enjoy as you wrench on and beautify your JK:

Depends on the mood, but I'll agree with Jack Johnson and Reggae, and add:
Five Finger Death Punch (although this is usually better driving music)
The Steeldrivers
Bob Seger

Love music, but in the garage listen to the talk shows on NPR. Sure wish Tom and Ray Magliozzi were still around making new episodes of Car Talk. On Saturday and Sunday turn off the radio because all they have on weekends is music--yeah, NPR music. Sometimes it agrees with my taste, but usually not. In general, though, you likely haven't heard of some of my favorite artists:
Amethystium
Blank and Jones
Pieter Nooten
Alexi Murdoch
Gnomusy
Iron and Wine
HelioSequence
Cusco
Enigma
etc.

Most of the time I find my "go-to" in the garage is classic rock. Reminds me of the days standing on a cold garage floor working on cars with dad--back when those songs weren't quite classic!
