Default bestop trektop nx question

so does anyone else who has the trektop nx notice the waterfall that dumps right on your leg after a good rain? it seems bestop designed the door channels to end right where it will dump water all over the inside of the jeep. I tried plugging the end of the channel with no luck. has anyone figured out a way cover this channel or is it something I will just have to live with?

It's not really a leak. It only dumps water when I open the doors or have the doors off.

When I wash the jeep with the trek top on and then open doors when done it'll pour water in towards front out of channel and get on seat and dash

It's a Jeep thing!

Actually my factory soft top does the same thing but not quite as bad as the Trektop.

There is a guy selling a stick on gutter extension to solve this problem. I'll see if I can find the link.

edit: found it. Says it's for the hard top, but I don't see why it wouldn't do the same thing for the soft top. http://www.truckmasterdesigns.com/products.html

Never had a problem either--

Had tons of rain issues with my old safari top, but knock on wood, no issues with NX

Did you sent the spring hook on the tighest setting?

Yeah the problem isn't a leak per say. It seems the channel over the door is too short and funnels water right to where my leg is. Like I said it only happens when doors are off or when I open the door. I adjusted the top and was able to get more of it to sit inside the channel. That has cut down on it quite a bit. It's just annoying that they couldn't design the channel to go all the way to the windshield so it would dump excess water at the a pillar instead of in the middle of the door frame.
