Buying a new jku: a few questions
Hi everyone im new to the site I just ordered my 2013 jku rubicon to replace my TJ. I have a few questions. I'm going to run 315-70 17s. What is a good pressure to air down to so that I don't blow a bead on the trail. I ran 12 on my TJ with 35s. Is that too low with the larger wheels. Second. How is the 3.6 for light towing. I have an 18 ft sea ray that I may want to to from time to time. Weight is less than 3000lbs will the jeep handle it or should I stick to the truck

I have 315/70-17s on stock rims. I've run them @ about 16, and haven't had any issues.
Can't help you on towing, but what gears did you get? That will make a difference. With 35's, I'm perfectly happy with the 'standard' 3.73s, but for towing you may want 4.10s.

I'll chime in too that if you ordered auto with Max tow you'll get 3.73's, it's not the end of the world with the new engine and transmission but with those bigger tires you may have to avoid OD with the auto. I've towed up to 2000lbs with my '13 Sahara w/auto/3.73's and it's been good.

The drivetrain with the 4:10's is great for towing. I pull a RV that loaded weighs about 3k and the Rubi does great. I do have a brake controller and distribution hitch.
I air down to about 20 pounds but I am sure I could drop a few more without any issues.
