In Cabin Air Filter
The Rubi's come with a couple of in cabin air filters. But the Sport does not. Does anyone have any information about the type of filter it is,
And how to go about accessing where they go?

2012 Owners Manual:
The A/C air filter is located in the fresh air inlet behind
the glove box. Perform the following procedure to replace
the filter:
1. Open the glove compartment and remove all contents.
2. Push in on the sides of the glove compartment and
lower the door.
3. Pivot the glove compartment downward.
4. Disengage the two retaining tabs that secure the two
air filter access doors to the HVAC housing.
5. Open the two air filter access doors.
6. Remove the two particulate air filters from the HVAC
air inlet housing. Pull the filter elements straight out of
the housing, one at a time.
7. Install the A/C air filter with the air filter position
indicators pointing in the same direction as removal.
NOTE: Ensure the air filter access door retainers are
secure.
8. Rotate the glove compartment door back into position.

There are two paper in cabin air filters located behind the glove box. You have to take off the glove box door to access the filters. I bought replacement filters from the dealer and they were fairly inexpensive if I remember right.

Zombie Hunter, Thanks for the info.
I was told about these filters via a friend, but I wanted to put it on here so other will know as well.
I just wasn't sure about how to access that area.
Thanks again.

Apparently the Sport did not come with the filters installed in 2011, but the filter housing is there. Just buy the filters from the parts dept. or Napa.
Not sure about other years, but there is always a place to put the filters in a JK - at least from '11 on.
