My guess is its kinda like the FJs and how they have white tops. Its to keep the vehicle cool because the white reflects the light much better than black. Not sure why anyone would want to make a Jeep look like an FJ though..

Since Jeep started color matching tops we will be seeing more and more funky combinations as the years come because people will sell their tops to other people.
