You'll need a snorkel and don't go through deep water that fast. 12mph may not seem fast compared to on road travel, but off road, and especially through water, that's pretty fast. You may also want to extend you axle tube breather lines. Do all that and you should have no issues going forward.

Get a snorkel and extend you breather lines and you'll be fine on most stuff. Read your other post. I hope your jk is ok. Best of luck!

awesome. Will definitely keep that in mind. Unfortunately i had to break down down and go to a shop. Even scarier not having someone you know tell you what the problem is. Finding out the verdict today. Thanks for the input guys. Kinda new to the jeep off road experience. Will definitely have more though.

From my research... No. If not the hood, the available kits have to cut something to get out of the engine bay... Hood, firewall, cowl, fender, etc...

Hahahaha. What to stick it to the after market "resale"Chrysler. My research has proven the same. Some kind of cutting.

Default It was probably your ESP.

... 12MPH is VERY fast for water fording. Your JK engine is sealed enough for a pressure wash and deep crossings- but 4000LBS at 12mph into a large, standing body of water is a HUGE influx of pressure and vacuum. Also, you DO NOT want to shift in deep water/mud, although the clearer and thinner the fluid the more you can get away with. I think it was your ESP that killed your engine btw.

Should you turn off the ESP before water crossings?
