Thinking about going with a "rock crawler" direction with the jk. Sort of just an all purpose jk at the moment. Thinking about relocating the evap can, tossing my RR stinger front bumper for an off road evo 1/4 pounder with winch. Tossing my smittybilt rails for or-fab rails and body armor. Aev corner guards, keeping my stock skids for the time being and keepin my RANCHO oil pan skid..... What else should I do? I'm keeping my 35s, my aev snorkel, should I get a tire carrier bumper? I was looking at the RANCHO tire carrier...

I would definitely put a tire carrier high on your list. Bouncing around the rocks with the weight of the 35 on your tailgate is just asking for trouble.

Also, diff guards... Do u guys recommend the "cage like" guards that go over the existing diff , or all new thicker diff covers?

Ive got ARB covers and love them but I got them for an extremely good price. My buddy I wheel with all the time runs Riddlers and another runs Solids and they both hold up to a lot of punishment. I have no experience with cages but I cant see how they would hold up better than a heavy duty cover.

I would recommend against a body mounted slider. The guys in my club that have ran them have all been unhappy and have or are changing to welded frame mounted sliders.

I was also looking into keeping my smittybilt rails and just buys the rivet on off road evo rocker panel protection. Anyone use anything like them? Or-fan, poison spyder, off road evo make them, to name a few

Ive seen the smittybilt rails fold up like pop cans, but if they are working for you now maybe they will be ok with the type of wheeling you do.
