Collecting Data for Pentastar Head Replacement issues in JK's
Some of you may be aware of the issues that some of the 2012 JK's have developed with the Pentastar engine.
I have created a spreadsheet in Google Docs of the 2012 JK's who have developed the dreaded "tick" and are in need of or have had a head replacement. On the forums addressing this issue, it has become confusing to keep track of what issues have developed and what has been done to address those issues. In order to protect the privacy of forum members, member user names are not included in the spreadsheet. Also, I am the only one who is able to edit the spreadsheet.
Please follow this link to view the current data:

If you have any questions, comments or would just like your JK added to the data you can contact me via PM. Thank you.

Some V-6s need new cylinder heads
Chrysler Group dealers are replacing malfunctioning cylinder heads on a small percentage of 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engines. [...]
To fix the problem, which Chrysler executives declined to describe fully, the company designed a "more robust" head, which it started manufacturing about six weeks ago. [...]
the problem has been found in about half of 1 percent, or about 7,500 of the approximately 1.5 million Pentastar engines that were built over the past two years

The ridiculous part was that they're blaming it on bad gas and "very specific" conditions. That's why we buy a Jeep...for EVERY condition.
I posted the invitation on another popular Wrangler forum for owners to participate in the spreadsheet for the Pentastar tick.
