Depends on condition and what is included. Stock vs. aftermarket shafts (or RCVs) will make a difference. Steering knuckles included? Brake calipers? How much rust? No other custom brackets (trackball, etc.)?

They are stock axles from my Rubicon other then the purejeep c-gussets in the front.
They are in good shape. Fluids were changed in July.
The passenger side front and rear are leaking a little from axle seal. Not sure why. We don't beat on it . Too much fluid put in my dealership?
Anyways I was going to ask 4000 for the pair only.

If you know what locals are selling them for (not simply an asking price) then why bother asking what they're worth? You say you already know the market. They're not worth that price in my area which brings up another point- price is regional.

I bought a pair here with 5.13 gears cromoly shafts, sleeves, gussets and rock stars for $2300. Bought a set of brand new in the crate rubi axles for $3500.
Good luck with the sale.

But, saying that, any item is worth as much as someone else is willing and able to pay for it. If you can get $4K for them, go for it.

I just priced a new housing only from my local dealer. No gears, shafts, knuckles, lockers....just the 44 housing and the MSRP is $2270. What dealer are you pricing a complete axle for less than $2000? I might have to give them a call!
