Dude - Where's my engine?
Picked up a 2011 JK Unlimited - 3.8L 6 speed manual transmition this winter. I haven't had a Jeep since my 1990 Sahara.
Just curious? Once I reach about 50mph, there is no acceleration left. You could put the pedal to the floor and the speedometer barely moves. I'm not expecting my jeep to be a sports car but I didn't remember this lack of performance in my old Sahara. I was also much younger so maybe it was just my expectations. Is this common?
Also - I loved my Sahara Safari style, half doors or no doors and just top canvas. I have kids now, so the unlimited made more sense but I can't help but want to take the doors offs. So....
Has anyone ever just taken the 2 front doors off and left the rear 2 doors on as well as the hard top? That's what I would like to do, replacing the front doors with Body Armor trail doors but I am worried that the air flow may be rough or that I'll get some buffering? Anybody tried this?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have not noticed much of a wind issue with just the front doors on my JKU (with hard top on) just do it enjoy your jeep and if it's a issue take the extra 3 min it takes, to either remove your top or put your doors back on.
You are over thinking the issue.
Driving a jeep is a carefree attitude!

Lol someone else calls this mode (top on doors off) Safari style...like it if you don't want the hot sun beating down on you
Yes I often run other front two doors off rear two on.

have ur battery tested. same thing happened to me and jeep was in "limp mode" ....(insert joke here about limp mode)
my battery died, I jump started it and drive it around and couldn't get over 45-50 and was running sluggish. had battery tested and it was bad. they said newer cars go into a limp mode when there's a problem so u don't f#%k it up too much
