Default Exhaust HELP!

Hey guys, I have a problem. Long story short I think my catalytic converter is out and I need to replace it. I want to get a cat back exhaust system and headers, bt when do I find the down pipes that hold the catalytic converters? Any help?suggestions? My check engine light is on. Bt under heavy driving... It blinks and sounds like I'm missing 2 cylinders.

Thank you in advance!!

Cats are covered by a crazy long warranty by the dealer as mandated by the federal gov. I would suggest having them replaced by the dealer then going back and adding your parts afterwards.

Thanks! My jeep is an '07. Are you sure they still warranty it? I'm going to the dealer today. I always feel like they just do a run around. Or since I'm going to the dealer that is now down the street from me, they will tell me no, I have to go to the original dealer

You do not have to go to the original dealer, your jeep is covered by chrysler not the independent dealer. I'll see if I can find the link online but I believe the warranty is 7yr/100k on cats and other 'emissions' related parts since they are mandated by the federal govt.

You sure it's not the flex pipe that blew off it, as they are connected to the cat in so Chrysler products

I'm sure.

I got my codes read. I had 3 codes. Miss fire on cylinder 2 , cat converter and evap.

I changed the spark plugs, wires, and coil packs. Just to be sure, evap was ok. The only thing is cat. I think the miss firing on cylinder 2, had that in burn fuel over heat the converter. And bam! it's doesn't accelerate under heavy driving conditions and it's smells like race fuel is burning.

Does your '07 by any chance consume oil?

Yes sir! Depending how hard I drive it.. Bt about 1qt every 3 weeks. I never noticed until I started doing my own oil changes. Dealer never told me I was low.

I keep my engine clean, so I have no leaks. Only thing I can think of is its burning it. I think possibly when they built my engine, they lined up the piston rings.

Thoughts?
