Hello everyone,
Just became a member and this is my first post. Happy to be on the forum.
I just bought my very first jeep yesterday, after listening to much advice on this forum, and ordered a new one from the factory. I originally wanted the color to be rock lobster but the dealer said that they were not making any more 2 Dr Sahara's in this color anymore, as a result I got it in black. I was curious if anyone else has had this problem?

Lobster is still available online for building. I don't know why the dealer would say that.

Yeah I showed them that on the website that lobster was still available but then they should me the system that they put the order into to order from the factory and it did not show lobster... was hoping someone knows why and if I can get then to change it

Website is waaayyy behind and hardly ever right. I know when I ordered my DCR in Feb that my dealer had I pull favors to get it. Website still shows it as a color option when production was slated to end 2/8/13. That being said rock lobster just started coming out. Seems odd you can't get it. It's the only red choice right now. I would call them and tell them to cancel the order. Why settle? Then call around. Somebody can get it.

Always shop around. Who knows, maybe a dealer has one on their lot.
PS, Rock Lobster is awesome! Not a fan of the new Sahara wheels though.

I don't see why they would pull the color on different models. That color is still available.

So I called the factory yesterday to double check and it turns out that commando green, rock lobster and dune have been discontinued for 2013 2dr Sahara... I asked then if it will be back for 2014 and they told me they didn't know...they also pointed out that the website was indeed wrong... however they still offer the deep cherry red for 2013

Sucky, but you can still shop around and find a dealer that might still have one on their lot. Don't trust the dealer you went to to look for it as THEY want to sell you a Jeep and not give business to someone else. If you can't find one, order a Rubicon or a decked out Sport in Rock Lobster.

That is correct, Rock Lobster was replaced a couple weeks ago by Flame Red and is no longer available for order.
