Food for thought for left over 3.21s..
I have a 2006 Commander and it looks like it has D44s in front and rear. So since I'm getting 12-15 in MPGs. Do you think I could just swap out the gears with 3.21s. If so... what could I maybe save? I'm not planning to tow it or do anything crazy... That's what my JK is for !!!

First off, are you sure that the Commander has a D44 in the front? I'm not sure about that.
Second, it would take a while for the gear change to pay for itself, even at today's fuel prices.
What engine do you have in the Commander?

What ratio does the commander have? What gears are you putting in your wrangler?
Personally I think the only good use for 3.21 gears is as a balast for a table lamp.
