New to Jeep ownership...
I'm new to the entire jeep world. My wife has decided she wants to trade in her GMC terrain for a Jeep. I have a friend that runs a dealership and he put her in a 2011 Unlimited Mojave. She has decided that she likes this style of vehicle but after I did some digging it appears that I need to buy at least a '12 so I can get the new engine.
So my question is...Do I need to be on the look out for anything specific. The dealership that we are dealing with has 2 that she is interested in. 1 is a 2014 Sahara that comes with Nav, Leather, hard top, automatic, etc. The 2013 is a Sport and has a little work done to it but I don't know enough to know what everything is (like don't even know what kinda rims / tires it has). The 2014 is $36,500 and the 2013 is $33,500. Here are some pictures of the 2013. The 2014 is still in transit to the dealer. Any suggestions would be great and any knowledge that you can give me would be helpful. I've spent the past couple of nights reading everything on the forum and it's a touch over whelming lol.

The JK you linked pics of has what looks to be a 4" Rancho lift, Smittybilt XRC tire carrier, Smittybilt XRC front bumper with the bullbar and full width end caps (w/fogs), 35" ProComp Xtreme MT2 tires on 20" Fuel Octanes, Mopar tail light guards, and a Mopar gas cap. I think I got everything. Not sure why that Sahara sticker is on that sport though... Looks nice regardless and welcome to the forum

I noticed that as well Rebelyell. It looks like it's only on one side because the other side looks like it has a Sport sticker. I'm headed in tomorrow or Tuesday to look everything over and see what's going with the sticker difference. I ran the VIN number on the NADA site and it pulls up a SPORT.
Do you think that is a reasonable price for that Sport? Or would you go with the Sahara and just upgrade as money comes available?

Just my opinion, but I would go for the Saraha and do the mods yourself. You can pick what you want instead of taking what someone else did. You can also ensure it's done right from the get-go rather than hope it was done right to begin with.

As much as I love the idea of a jeep that I don't really have to do anything to and it look the way I want and that my wife loves. I think I've decided to go the direction of the 2014 and do work myself. I miss having a project car and I think this will fill the roll nicely. And specific questions I need to ask about the 2014 Sahara or options that I need to look for?
