Has anyone traded in a 2013 yet? or had one appraised by dealer?
I have been thinking about trading in my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon in Crush Color with black cloth interior. Has anyone taken their modified 2012 or 2013 jeep to the dealer to see what a trade value would be. I am curious to what you think mine would be worth as a trade in?
The Jeep has the following options: automatic transmission, navigation, conectivity package, trailer package, automatic a/c, hard top, and remote start. It only has 1400 miles. The tires are new within the last 200 miles. My jeep currently has many aftermarket additions:
1. Smittybilt XRC front bumper
2. Smittybilt XRC Rear bumper and tire carrier
3. 2.5 inch teraflex suspension lift with upgraded dual reservoir fox shocks, exhaust spacer, and alignment cam, all professionally installed.
4. Ramsey 6000lb winch
5. N-fab side steps
6. Pair of KC slimlight long range lights mounted near windshield
7. Pair of KC slimlight driving lights mounted on front bumper
-Both sets of lights wire to switches on A-Pillar
8. Set of 5 - 17x9 Ion Alloy wheels with beadlock look
9. Set of 5 - 315/70/17 BF Goodrich All terrain tires with around 200 miles.
10. AEV Procal module - to adjust the speedometer
11. Mopar Slush mats
Thanks for any input

You might try for a private-party sale since a dealer isn't necessarily going to understand, or monetarily appreciate the mods you have. On the flip side, being so new, it's something a Jeep dealer could put on their showroom floor.
You might want to try taking it back to the dealer where you bought it and having them buy it back. If you need to get rid of it right away, that could be a good option, at least maybe better than just trading it in. Of course, you'd need to consider if you're buying another vehicle, and what the trade-in tax credit could do for your situation.

I traded a 2012 4 door Sahara with 10k miles in on a 13 4 door Sahara, this time with an Auto.
My local dealer didn't want anything to do with me, and offered $4,000 less than I owe. At the time I owed $30,000 and a few months prior had just spent $33,000 on it at their dealer!
I dealt with a long distance deal this time through Harold Zeigler Jeep Battle Creek dealer in Kalamazoo Michigan - New and Used dealership Chicago Illinois Grand Rapids Grandville Kalamazoo Michigan
I did the deal entirely over email and text message. He gave me a VERY fair trade in value that was more than I owed.
Call that dealer I posted a link to and ask for Bill Ball.

Yikes. That's a lot of coin sunk into a jeep in 3 short months. What you're trading it in on will have some impact.
Regardless, you are going to lose several thousand trading it in. Parting out would ease the pain.

curious why you went with a 6000 lb winch. go to nada.com or kbb.com and you will get an idea of what you can expect for the vehicle. The add ons will be worth 40-50% if you are lucky. Not fair but that is the way it usually works.

Private party is the way to go here. You will most likely take a bath trying to trade in so soon.
Sometimes mods hurt the value...just depends who you are dealing with.
Good luck!!
