how to wash and maintain soft top?
Ok, everyone gets a free pass for one of "these" threads. This is mine.
I've never owned a convertible or one of those Lincoln Towncars the elderly drive to church with the fabric tops. So, I don't know the proper way to wash and maintain my top. I can read the window that says not to use automatic washes, and that's fine because I never use those.
Usually, it's a couple water buckets and some Maguiar's in the driveway at dusk since I don't have any shade, but during the colder months I usually drive up to the car wash and use my buckets and sponges with their water. It allows me to be in the shade but still take advantage of the warmest part of an otherwise bitter cold day.
So, do you just rinse yours or do you sponge it as well? I'd like to maintain its function and brand new appearance as long as possible without frays or faded spots.
