I have stock covers for D30 as D44 if you would like. I'm in ontario canada tho.

Did Ridler change ownership?; change foundries? ; just a bad batch of covers hit market? ( seems like a bad mold & machining of fill hole )

I just installed mine prior to my Col and Moab trip. My fill cover tightened then right as I tried to torque it, it started spinning loose going deeper in. So now I have a very sight leak, but this pisses me off!

Could you replace it with a socket head cap screw? It looks like you could at least torque it and it might not protrude too much.

Just read on another forum; the fill plug will screw in until it would fall in. Apparently it's designed that way. The person advised to use plumber's tape on the threads and only screw in until flush with the cover.

Mine does not do such thing so maybe mines broke... But ill take the broken one if thats the case. Also use thread sealant and its fine. Teflon is a lubricant and not a good option.
