Default Jeep Survey

I just received an email from bellows surveys about my JK I just bought..

An area of the survey asked what I thought of some options Chrysler is thinking of adding to the JK.

Some of them were:

Heated front seats $250
rear backup camera $850 or $250 if you have MyGig
heated/cooled cup holders (dont remember price)
115v inverter $100
Diesel engine $2,000
hybrid $2,500
rear backup alert with visual warning $150 I think.
Automatic climate control $250
Leather $250
Upgraded interior with padded armrests accent coloring $200 i think

There were others but these were what I remembered.

I found these interesting.. some of them ridiculous and others sound good to me

i'd love a diesel. leather is rediculous lol. i'm the kind of guy who wants as few accessories as possible so when i sink it in the mud it's not a lot to fix!!

[fubeka] - this is a fair price I'd pay

rear backup camera $850 or $250 if you have MyGig
[fubeka] This is nutz. I can get a backup camera for less than $100 at costco. Way too much at either price. I'd be willing to consider ~$150 if it had IR so you could actually see in the dark

heated/cooled cup holders (dont remember price)
[fubeka] would never pay for this

115v inverter $100
[fubeka] this s/b included and not an option

Diesel engine $2,000
[fubeka] heck yeah

hybrid $2,500
[fubeka] Sorry, no. Don't need/want added complexity that makes it that much more difficult to deal with something far away from everything. The only thing that makes this remotley interestng is the price. I think Toyo charges ~$9K for a hybrid in the Hylander. $2500 seems really low

rear backup alert with visual warning $150 I think.
[fubeka] Why? The back up camera is a better option. I could see this as option for Sahara

Automatic climate control $250
[fubeka] Again, why? Sahara option

Leather $250
[fubeka] Whatever. I wouldn't buy it

Upgraded interior with padded armrests accent coloring $200 i think
[fubeka] No, but would like better plastic (at least from everyone has said since I am still waiting). I also would pay if the dash could be 'water proofed'

There were others but these were what I remembered.

I just responded to this survey. The main ones I'd like would be the Diesel and the back-up camera, other than that, they are nice to haves, but not realy needed.

Perhaps more padding in the interior - console, etc. They definitely need to upgrade the plastic. My '87 Trooper had better plastic. The stuf they are using in these JKS is worse than any I have ever seen in my life.

Hmmm. I received a survey--caught it in my spam folder, that is, so don't know how old it was. But it didn't ask me any of the questions you were asked. Mine asked about the Freedom Top--how often I use it, where I store it, what would I like to see improved on it, would I be interested in clear panels, etc. I said clear panels would be a good idea, and that I'd really like to see an after-market storage solution similar to Bestop's JK hardtop.
