That's a good point. That and having a diesel motor.

I also have a 2008 JKUS in the UK and high 20mpg (Imp) are perfectly realistic for stock auto with 6 spd manuals returning better figures without hyper mileing . Please see Jeep UK website for latest model figures and for 2008 JKs http://www.automobile-catalog.com/ma...ited/2008.html for factory quoted Town, Motorway, Combined figures (CRD Sahara at bottom of list)and you will see it is spot on as expected by Jeep.

2014 Rubi Unlimited 3.73. I get 18.5 average with 10% ethanol and 19.2 with ethanol-free. Both 87 octane.

I only wish we could get Jeeps in the US with 2.8 L Turbo engine.

My Jeep just turned 2yrs.

19,500 miles.

Getting between 19.5-21.4mpg average on the highway, 33's, 3.6, 6-speed and 3.73 gears, lots of extra weight. Lots of highway driving. Don't know what I get on the trail, but the ratio flips and it's gallons per mile.
