Does anyone know if the 2013 JK is backwards comparable with prior years softtops? I know it's the same body style, but I was told by a sales person that the 13s would not accept prior year soft tops?? Does that make sense to anyone else? Maybe something changed that wouldn't permit a swap, but I doubt it.

He's probably saying that do you don't buy it cheaper elsewhere. I've never heard of that though.

What they are talking about are the door surrounds. On 07 08s the top would fold into the surround, just like the rear side windows.
The new tops lay flat and have a cable that keeps the top tight.

I have that bungee softtop now as I'd be trading out of a '12.
