49(2) No manufacturer of motor vehicles of the passenger car type, and no distributor or dealer of motor vehicles of the passenger car type, shall sell, offer for sale, or have in his possession for sale, a motor vehicle of the passenger car type of the model or make of the year 1973, or of any subsequent year, unless the motor vehicle is equipped with an appropriate energy absorption system which complies with the standards prescribed therefor under the regulations.
So, can I mod my Jeep with a new steel bumper or not...
If so... which one is legal?
Please help me.
*Yes, I live and registered in Manitoba.

So it's now not just for commercial vehicles?

Sec 16 of the CHTA is for Commercial Vehicles....
Sec 16 of the Manitoba Highway Traffic Act IS applicable.
A modded Jeep is considered a Type 1 Special Vehicle.
TO CLARIFY!
It appears that FULL WIDTH STEEL BUMPERS MOUNTED ON A FRAME WITH DESIGNATED CRUMPLE ZONES (Jeeps Are) AND MOUNTED WITHIN THE PRESCRIBED HEIGHTS WILL BE LEGAL IN MANITOBA.

So...
In your opinion, the "LoD Full Width Bumper" will be legal in Manitoba?

Thank you!
I am stock, for now.
Planing to have the "1.5 Teraflex performance leveling kit" and maybe, just maybe 33"...
Some day in the very (VERY) far future, 35" with 3" lift (final goal)
I don't want to buy front steel bumper twice... so I'm asking all the question.
