I have been researching on the most cost effective way to transport my kayak on my JKU and I have found that most people use a light bar mount when using their soft top and a rear mounted T bar on hitch. Anyone have any issues with the light bar method? Do you guys use the same bolts or are new longer bolts provided? I have spoken to a few shops and told them what I wanted to do, but they did not recommend this method, but I can see why from their point of view.

Thoughts? my camping trip is coming up and I haven't taken my hardtop off in two years.
