Hey all, huge fan of this site and huge fan of jeeps. I currently own a 93 zj that has been run through the mill and keeps on going. I'm looking at jks now and will take any advice possible. The one I'm looking at is 2013 unlimited sport gekko green, cloth, auto, 2.5 lift from jeep, 31's, side rails, and other bs dealer add ons. Without dealer add ons it's 33k and 44k with. This seems insane to me and am wondering how much I can expect to talk them down. Thanks for any advice

Personally, I would move on and find one stock. They are going to charge you much more than you could do it for yourself. Plus, you could choose the parts if yo do it yourself. But, if this is the exact one you want, I wouldn't pay more than the original sticker. Any more and you are in rubi territory.

I told the salesman he was nuts and my exact words were "that's rubicon territory" lol I have enough know how to do it myself and everything, but my concern is money. If I'm worrying about a payment and what not will I have the money to do it. I'm going to move on though if I can't get it for like 35k but is tht still too high?

I think 35 is reasonable maybe more with, rails, lift, wheels, hard top for a 4 door sport.

Edit: I think there is a thread on here where everyone posted what they paid.

Price out all the add-ons yourself, then compare that to the mark up the dealer lists

That's a ridiculous price, I got my rubi color matched hardtop and fenders with leather and auto for 39 out the door, and you can definatley get a nice lift with 33s or 35s for 5,000.

I appreciate all the advice. This will be my 1st new car, I've never dealt with a dealership so don't really know what to expect. I have to do some more searching. Thanks everyone

Welcome to the forum. I would price all the add-ons, and compare it to what the dealer is charging. I think you will save a lot of money doing the mods yourself.

If your a Costco member they have an auto program where dealers give you best no hassle price, I went to East Hills Jeep, it's north shore closer to queens, they were great.
