I agree, Gobi rack works great for us. We've carried 2 kayaks and well over 100lbs of gear. Best part is loading. I just lean the boats on the side of the rack, climb up to the top and lift them into place.

Those are the Yakima Keel Over mounts. They probably offer a kayak-specific system as well, but those work great for canoes.
