Default Mobile one are castrol synthetic

2014 3.6, my first oil change is due. I have had really good luck with castrol 20w50 in my Chevy 350. What's best for the 3.6 engine? Texas heat, not a fan of the 5w 20. I wanted to go with mobile one are castrol synthetic 5w 30. What do you use. HELP THNKS

A billion oil threads on here. I am in NJ and run mostly Penzoil synthetic in my 2012 JKU. It now has over 47,000 miles and runs like new. Doesn't burn a drop. I even have towed a very heavy toyhauler for over 5000 miles. I use 5w-30 since that is what my 2012 specifies. Yes, I know they changed recommendations for 2013 models. I think you will be fine with any synthetic. I do 5k intervals. So easy to remember. As I recently posted, I have nothing against Mobil 1, but is does not carry the Chrysler MS certification as penzoil, royal purple, and castrol do.

Castrol Full Synthetic. I started running this years ago in my Jetta diesel, I commute 120 miles round trip a day and knew that I needed something that would get decent mileage and hold up long term. It now has 218,000 plus miles on it and still runs like new. I change the oil and filter every 5000 miles without fail, perform regular maintenance and have had no issues. This is what I wanted for our 2013 Wrangler so I’m running 5W-20 as the specs call for and have no issues even in our extreme southern Nevada desert heat, on or off road.

thats my calculators fault, i divided 480,000 by 14 years and it spit out 34,something at me, but ya, for a chevy thats gotta be a record amount of mileage on 1 motor, most chevvies dont make it to 4.8k before they go rock like, like a rock
