My experience with 35s, 3.21s, and an auto
#31
This is my interstate driving. Can't use 4th or 5th. Granted I am turning a 20x12 wheel too. I have a 4:10 regear planned for my tax return. Speedo is recalibrated to compensate.

Just got done with my first weekend of wheeling my new 35's on 3.21 in my 14 6speed. And I am very pleased! As many, I did to much reading about how horrible it is.. Well for those looking to do the same. I say go for it! I drive mine daily and it's not that bad. Sure I lost 6th gear but it is still very drivable the way it is and will hold me over just fine until my regear and lockers are installed
just installed the fuel econ tune from my flashpaq, pulling 18.5 mpg now on my 75% highway 25% city daily drive

Im running the Clayton 4.5 lift with BFG 37's (measure 35.75) with the 3.73's and it does great. Ace bumper rear and Ace front bumper. I do have the 93 octane tune on from the FlashPaq so that probably helps. The last mileage calc (hand calculated) was 16.2 mpg, thats all highway driving with no wheeling thrown in.
Im in FL tho, so all flat land, but it does well leaving the stop lights and passing people. I just dont try and drive it like I stole it. So I'm on the fence as well with a re-gear, I will maybe do it next year when I go with some kind of selectable locker in the rear, (spartan up front at the moment).
(( didnt even realize this was my first post..lol))

You have something wrong. There is no reason you shouldn't be able to use 4th and 5th gear.. If you are driving your jeep around at 3500-4000 rpm thinking that's completely ok, you may want to rethink the way you drive, because your gearbox hates you.
