Default Need some advice on a JK purchase

Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum. I am interested in possibly purchasing a newer model jeep wrangler and need some advice on them from a reliablity standpoint. Are there particular years you all would recommend? Am I going to be dumping a lot of money in repairs on a used jeep? I've been doing a lot of research on common problems (death wobble, transmissions popping out of gear, leaking tops, etc.) so I have a general idea on what to expect but I also want to make a smart choice

I am currently looking at a used 2007 sahara 2dr with auto trans that has 40k miles on it. Its the first year for the new body style so I'm kinda hesitant. Have any of you had any major issues with jeeps similar to this? Would this give me a pretty trouble free 100k miles?

Ive also thought about just buying a brand new 2013 base model jeep 2dr or unlimited as its got way more power im just not sure on reliability of the pentastar motor as I read people are having head issues.

This almost seems like a rant but what do you all think? Recommendations? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks guys!

As far as the 07, check the oil level. Oil consumption was an issue that year.

If it's in your budget, I would go with a new 2013 and get the new motor and warranty. 2-door vs 4-door is personal preference, pros and cons to each. Other than eating a little oil, I've had no issues with my 07 Rubi. Good luck!

If you go new, make sure you get 3.73 rear, not 3.21.
