I thoroughly enjoy my Pentastar. I have never driven the 3.8, but I have left them in the dust plenty of times. 40% more HP goes a looooong way. Mind you I drive a stock 2 door Rubicon. Its the fastest vehicle I've owned, but I've only owned fairly low powered cars.

A torquey diesel would be much preferred, but as far as highway driving goes I have no problems with the 3.6. Even passing a Semi even without downshifting from 6th (much faster to drop to 4th mind you) is faster than my Suzuki.
