Default Odometer Display Tenths?

Anyone know how to change the odometer to display tenths of a mile or if that is even possible? My tripmeters displays in tenths.

By the way its a 2010 Jeep Jk Mountain.

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to follow this thread because I'd like to see tenths on the ODO too. I'm not holding my breath, though. All of the vehicles that I've owned since the transition to digital odometers have never displayed tenths. Of course, all of those vehicles were Jeeps or Ford pickups -- not a huge cross-section.

What I do on the rare occasion when I want to see tenths ("after the traffic light, go 3/10 of a mile and turn left...") is just switch over to one of the trip-meters -- unfortunately, though, they're not necessarily in sync with the odometer (but for that use it really doesn't matter that much, IMO). On the plus side, though, if you have a NAV unit, the tenths display isn't really a necessity anymore.

As an aside, what I'd like to see is a digital odometer that counts backwards when you drive in reverse like many of the old analog ones used to. A couple of months back, I was backing out of the garage with 999 miles on the display and when I reached the end of the driveway, it said 1000 miles. I was kind of bummed because I'm one of those people that loves to watch the odometer roll up to even thousand miles and backing up made me miss it.

Here is the response I got from Jeep...

Thank you for contacting the Jeep Customer Assistance Center.

Unfortunately the odometer cannot be set to display tenths of miles.
According to available information the trip odometer may offer this
feature.

The Compass Mini Trip Computer (CMTC) features two driver-interactive
displays. The display located in the lower left part of the instrument
cluster at the bottom of the speedometer displays the
compass/temperature and trip computer functions. The display located in
the lower right part of the instrument cluster at the bottom of the
tachometer displays the odometer related functions.

The right instrument cluster button is used to navigate through the
different functions of the odometer system. Pressing and releasing the
button will scroll through the following displays:

Trip Odometer (ODO)
Trip A
Trip B
Fuel saver indicator, Economizer (ECO) display

Once a particular system is displayed, pressing and holding the right
instrument cluster button once will clear the resettable function
currently being displayed. Reset will only occur if a resettable
function is currently being displayed.
