Default Off Road Trailer

In the process of building and off road trailer for hunting and camping. I want to run same wheels as the jeep. How do I determine my axle hub face measurement that I need. Any help would be great.

5 X 5 Bolt pattern , 4' X 5' trailer. Gonna run same tires as on the jeep. Right now thats a 285 70 R17. Wanted to go up to 305 but BFG does not show it in a All Terrain. Will use stock wheels with spacers if I have to. But plan on getting a new set of Pro Comp 7069 17 X 9 wheels.

Do you currently have the axle for it?/ what is the current pattern?

I built up an old M416. The hubs are 5x5.5, so some aluminum adapters (spacers) were needed to convert to 5x5. The hub was too large, so I used a router with a strong square cut bit and slowly routed it out until it fit. All and all it worked out great, and now am using all matching wheels.

Best of luck!

Here's the way to determine the current pattern.

Don't have an axle. Just started welding frame together. I know spring perch needs to be 46". I have a set of 27" leaf springs to use , unless I find a better option. Want same bolt pattern as Jeep 5 X 5. I am looking at new wheels for the jeep. Pro Comp 7069 17 X 9. I will purchase 2 extra for trailer. Went to check on trailer axle and they need two measurements. Spring perch and hub face. I am trying to figure out hub face.

Hub face all depends on the off set and back spacing of your wheels. Best is to weld up the frame and place the wheels and tire combo under the trailer at the position you want them and then measure the hub face.

Your going to want close to the same WMS (wheel mounting surface) measurement as your Jeep if you are going to run the same backspace wheels. Stock is 65.5" WMS to WMS.
