ok stupid question about manually disconnecting...
So, I've always just electronically disconnected my swaybar. Now that I have it lifted I'm going to manually disconnect. Where exactly am I supposed to put the links when it is disconnected? Am I supposed to push the swaybar up as far as I can? I tried doing searches but didn't come up with anything solid. Thanks for the help. I've attached a pic of the area I'm working with...
Oh and I'm using the RK swaybar links.

Ideally, parallel to the frame is the best. I have my sway bar higher up than parallel which *could* puncture the sidewall of the tire but it's unlikely with wheel spacers.

I do have after market wheels with 4.5" backspacing. Does this mean I could put the sway bar higher than parallel as well? Thanks for the response!

You could. To be safe, and release me from buying new tires for you, be sure to check it at home with the tire fully stuffed and at full lock at the same time. I welded a nut on the frame and then just thread a bolt into it to hold my bar up and out of the way.

There are actually quite a few threads out there regarding this. I just would rather be safe than sorry.

To add to the point above, my friend has a RK 3.5 X factor and the factory sway bar e-disco limits his travel. By manually disconnecting the links the axle had more droop and to that effect, more traction.
