3.73. And the answer is yes, yes, yes. The vast majority of people on this forum will advise to get the 3.73. (Except for those who ended up with the 3.21 and are trying to justify their mistake). Don't hate on me if you have the 3.21 but you know it's true.

Do you live in the arctic? I'm in central NJ. Has not been a brutally cold winter here, but I don't think I would ever consider a block heater unless it was really, really cold for weeks or months at a time. The connectivity group is also nice because you get the EVIC (vehicle information center) and USB connector in the center console. Another thing to think about is the rear diff. I went with open diffs because I read about how great the standard brake lock differential works and I keep my vehicles for a very long time and don't want to deal with possible future maintenance of the anti-spin clutch plates.

People have reported on here that the auto with 3.21 hunts for gears on the highway and that for manual trans the 6th gear has no power and is essentially useless. Having the 3.73 will allow you to tow if that is in your future and will also allow you to run bigger tires without substantial loss in get-up-and-go power. I have the 3.73 with manual trans and have towed a 4500 pound trailer for 3000 miles, including the mountains in Virginia. So glad I got that rear.

3.73 will allow a 33'' tire with minimal irritation, but any bigger you will be wishing for a shorter gear set. just figure in the price of a regear and a procal to reset your shift points to pull your mileage out of the low teens. if your going to run 35s at all, the following is pretty much the norm. If automatic trans go with 5.13s if manual go with 4.88s. hope this helps
