Don't go to Desert Rat. You will be sorry. They are a bolt on only shop.

Try Four Wheelers Supply - ask for Mike in the service dept. or

Absolute Offroad - ask for Joe

Both of these shops are reputable and will stand behind their work.

Desert Rat on 60 and Rural did my 4.88 install (as well as everything else). John over there really knows his stuff and they stand behind what they do.

You got lucky with Desert Rat. They only stand behind their work when it is convienent. They never meet a deadline and the Owners brother who runs all the stores is incompetent at best and acts like a spoiled rich kid when you put him to task.

Don't just take my word for it. Do a search on the virtualjeepclub.c.om site or any of the other local forums and you will get tons of horror stories.

I have heard bad things about other Desert Rats but the on on 60 & Rural has been very good. I have had allot of work done there and they have always stood behind their work and done a great job. There is a particular sales person there that does not have a clue but other than that, the rest of the staff has been excellent. I have had them work on 3 different vehichles over the years and always great work.

Default I need advice too..

I am getting gears to but thinking of going with Offroad unlimited. Any body had any work done there? Should I go with 4.88's or 5.13's w/ 37" tires and 6spd? We should all get together and get up in the hils or meet up somewhere.......
