Would procomp wheels work on the rubicon tires? Are there any mechanical or asthetic negatives to this?

I assume you're referring to the stock BFG M/Ts. If so, they'll fit on pretty much any 17" wheel. The wheel needs to be 5 on 5 bolt pattern to fit your JK without adapters and the amount of backspacing the wheel has will determine how close or far away they push out from the vehicle. Brand doesn't matter, though.
