Default Question at Hand

Ok guys, got a decision to make. I can get a new 2013 Unlimited Sport for cheap from a buddy of mine and trade in my 2dr Rubi. If I go the route of the Sport it will lower my payment and will also allow for my lift, tires, and maybe even my bumpers. What would you do? Stick with the Rubicon or go the four door route.

One of my main interests in doing this is my Dane loves to ride with me, but hardly fits in the 2dr.

I think space will be your biggest deciding factor. It's (relatively) easy to build a Sport that will perform just as well as a Rubi but a lot harder to stretch the space in a 2-door.

I'd go with the 4-door and build it up.

100% agree! I'm happy with my 2 door but I have a miniature dachshund.

Having owned several wranglers over the years, I personally like the room of the 4 door, and have no desire for a 2 door anymore. They are just too small for my needs.

I have a 2dr rubi and couldn't be happier with it! But even so, I do realize the size issue. Sometimes I wish I had the 4dr, and other times I'm glad I have the 2dr. For whatever my opinion is worth, I'd go with the 4dr. You'll have much more room and cargo space. Not to mention the 4drs ride better too.

Get the 4 door. The sport is very capable as is. I have a 07 X and I can count on one hand when my JK couldn't make it somewhere without a little help. Lockers are a luxury and are not necessary. I try most of my crawling in 2WD anyway just to see what he can do.

4dr. My kids, dogs and cargo all fit. Plus still an extremely capable wrangler. Not to mention lower payments. What's not to love.

I have the 2dr and I'm very happy with it . Sounds to me the 4dr is your best interest . And with less payments you'll have more money to save for modding . Go for the 4dr.

For daily drivers, in my opinion the 2-door is really only well suited for single guys or girls with no big dogs and no plans for a family in the near future. All bets are off if its more of a play toy than a daily driver.

I love my 4 door and after riding in mine, my Dad traded his 2 door in for a 13 4 door and he loves it
