Default Rear driveshaft boot

I was testing my flex and I ripped the middle of my rear driveshaft boot, do I need to get a replacement or will it be okay? I have a 4" lift on 35s.

If you mean the boot in the middle where the spline is you will be fine. I lubed mine for a year with lithium spray, but finally bought one cheap off the forum and now have a spare.

I replaced my driveshaft with a new one . It doesn't have the stupid boot and it's smaller in diameter so to give me more clearance . you will probably rip it again if you simply replace the boot .

The big boot has been totally ripped off mine for about a year now. No problems so far.

I ripped my spline boot when my JKU had maybe 500 miles. Still had the stock rear shaft with 4" of lift and 37's when I sold it with 40k miles.

Thanks to all of y'all. It's ripped down the middle, so there's boot on either side just not the middle. I cut off the excess because it was flapping when I was driving.

Curious how this is holding up after several months or if you upgraded to a new axle. Ripped mine today wheelin' so scouring the forums to research the issue. Seems like various responses out there. Some saying will last 1000 miles, others saying years. That's a lot of gray area. Did you end up doing anything with yours?
