Default Rubicon Running Boards

My 88 wrangler has running boards and they work pretty good at keeping the mud and gravel off the side of my jeep. I have ordered a 2013 2 door Rubicon and would like to find some running boards that will fit without having to remove the stock rock rails. The running boards that I have found seem to use the same mounting holes as the rock rails. Has anyone found some that will work? Thanks for your help.

Ace rock rails work in conjunction with the rubi rails. They also can be used as a step to get in.

Heres a link to one of many posts about them... https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-s...-rails-254895/

I have seen the Ace rock rails and if I were looking for rock rails, they would be at the top of my list. I don't think that they would do very much to keep the mud and gravel off the side of my jeep. I am hoping to find running boards for that purpose.

I have the Ace rails and can tell you the wont keep mud off your jeep. Great for a step but not for mud protection.

My old Sahara steps were pretty good for keeping snow and debris off the side. You would end up losing the rubi rails though

Yes, Sahara running boards are actually the closest thing to what I had in mind. But I don't want to give up my Rubicon rock rails. They both use the same mounting holes. After I get the jeep I may take some close measurments and see if I can figure out a way to mount them both. I really do like the way the Ace Rock Rails look and everybody says that they are well made. If they were inclose in such a way that would keep the gravel off the side of the jeep I would buy them for sure.

Check out Poison Spyder, they make a weld-on step for the Rubi rails. Might be enough coverage you're looking for while keeping the rails.

Just a thought. But have u driven a jk before? I don't get much mud or gravel up the sides of my jeep with the stock rubi tires. The stock fenders seem to do a good job at keeping the rocks from hitting the side. Unless that is I'm out on the trails. And if ur out on the trails you prob wouldn't want the steps anyways.
