Rugged Ridge Hurricane Flat Fender Flares
I like the look of the Rugged Ridge Hurricane Flat Fender Flares, curious if anyone has them and your opinion on them. Also, wondering how tall a tire you can run without doing a lift.
Thanks

They look ok, but I found the fitment bad, side markers didn't not fit properly. They also rub in the paint pretty bad. You can squeeze a 35 without a lift, it will rub, and you will have to trim some, but you can do it.

I have them on my JKU!
They were fitted before I lifted it and I cleared my 35x12.5 tyres no worries.
My only gripe is that I would put a rubber layer between the flare and the body, as well as possibly painting them flat black as they collect mud (Australian clay) quite easily and stain.

I know you like the look of those but I would recommend looking at the Poison Spyder Crusher Flares. They cost a bit more but there are a few positives to them.
1) They actually attach to your sub frame instead of the body. The body is just sheet metal and if you happen to bump into an object they may give in and dent your actual body.
2) I don't know how much the plastic flares you want weigh but you can purchase the Poison Spyder ones the are maid out of aluminum and weigh around 11 pounds. They will hold up to more then the plastic ones and still not weigh very much.
Ultimately it is your Jeep and you do what you want but I just wanted to throw this option out there just in case.

I have a set on mine when i bought it so i cant say how much of a pain they were to install. They do look good i think. My 09 rubicon has a 2.5in spacer lift with 285/75/17 toyos on stock wheels. There is a ton of room with those size tires!! Tires came on it when i bought it, should be 35's for sure.
