I'm considering selling my freedom top on my unlimited and buying the besttop trektop nx1. My girlfriends jeep looks great with it and it's more convenient. Has anyone else gone this route and if so any regrets? I live in Houston area so winters aren't a concern we don't have those.

I just did this when I moved to Hawaii. No regrets at all. I leave the top as a bikini and keep my windows in the garage as I'm not concerned about what little rain happens.

How much were you able to get for your hard top if you don't mind me asking?

$1500. I might have been able to get more if I were on the mainland. The demand for hardtops here isn't that great so I was thankful to get what that.

I made the switch a year and a half ago and have never looked back. It's quiet, convenient, and looks sick! I am from the middle of Missouri, we don't have crazy winters, but a lot of ice and lows in the low teens. I never had a problem with it, the hardtop doesn't provide much more insulation. I got $1400 out of my hardtop and it was pretty scratched up.
