Selling my winch-advice on price?
I'm selling my recon 10.5 winch. What's a fair asking price?
The good: It only has 2 pulls on it. I also have a 2nd hard wired controllers and the winch cover.
The bad: I don't have the wireless remote. I also snipped about 6 inches off the power and ground wires. You'll either need to recrimp new ends, or use the brass screw down tips i installed on it.
The ugly: cosmetically ugly. Plastic housing faded. Some rust around engage knob.
So like instated at the top, what's a fair asking price?
Thanks
Steve

It's new $500

I typically find that rule of thumb is 50 cents on a dollar, but you say that its ugly, braken cables and missing parts.
I would then say at best your looking at 25 cents on a dollar... I likely would not even be interested then because I just don't have the mindset for fixing up old things. I like nearly mint used items at 50 on the dollar. But for $100 or so, someone may be interested? Shipping is likely $25+ for something that heavy... so that hurts you as well.
