Default Smittybilt Fenders help

Does anyone else have smittybilt fenders on there jk? The front stock metal piece that held the stock fender kind sticks out. The picture shows it. Has anybody cut it before?

Just grab some flat black paint and do everything under the fender, it'll still be there but it doesn't jump out at you like red would

I've installed many XRC's and have all ways left it up to the customer on whether to cut it or not.. All though most owners just leave it.. The black paint idea is actually a good idea!! Here's two JK's we did on the same day!!

I installed my Smittybilt fenders today and was wondering about the liners. Did the MC liners bolt right up or did you have to modify anything? I am thinking about cutting my stock liners to fit, but if there is a cleaner look out there I would go with that.
