Default Fog fitment

Anyone know of an upgraded D.O.T fog light that is 3"? (Please reply if you know of one. (Smittybilt vendors...feel free to chime in.)). JW Speaker will not fit. LED KC's will not fit. (The list goes on).

I do like the look of the Gen.II. Great purchase!
So your telling me the led jw speaker fog doesn't fit the smitty built xrc mod front bumper?

I have the SRC Gen 2 bumper and I will say that if the JW Speakers are made to fit the stock bumper, they will install into the Smittybilt. The only issue would be depth and if they will fit in with the winch you install.

I have a question for the people who have installed the Gen 2 rear bumper, how did you wire in the reverse lights? I've been trying to figure out how to wire them but haven't been able to decide on the best way to do it.

I have the smittybilt xrc gen 1 for both front and rear. If anyone had gen 1 and now has en 2 rear, How easy is the rear bumper to open compared to the gen 1? It's a pretty good pull to open tire carrier on mine, although I still love the look of gen 1

I personally agree; but everybody has there taste.- Abel

I don't have a gen 1, but I've seen a few at club meetings.

The gen 2 tire carrier just has a greased pin for a hinge. There is a bolt on either side of the pin and it sits in an open hole. If the pin is greased well, the door opens very easily with almost the same amount of effort as stock. You can definitely tell there is extra weight, but it works pretty well for what it is.

Default Installed the XRC Gen2 front bumper last weekend....

Easy install, and the winch went on perfectly. I bought a Smittybilt 9500 winch as it sits down in that bumper perfectly.

I also installed JW Speaker fogs and they are a direct bolt-on, though I did get a wire adapter to match them to my 2014 Rubicon. I didn't feel like splicing the factory wires to the connector JW Speaker provides. I also am running the new JW Speaker Jeep specific LED headlights, which are SWEET!!!

New rims and tires go on next week, as does the Gen2 rear bumper and tire carrier.

Question: What mod specifically was made on the rear vent when mounting the tire carrier?

If you have a hard top, you are going to have to cut out a hole in the supplied tailgate plate for the cabin vent. The plate that comes with the tire carrier just covers the hole which prevents your cabin heater or A/C from blowing in the vehicle (just pressurizes the cabin). I easily cut it with a cut-off wheel on my angle grinder. If you only use a soft top then this is a non-issue. I discovered this fault when I swapped my hard top off for winter.

You also have to drill a hole in the frame for the tire carrier support. The hole goes in the bottom of the frame and uses the extra tab bolt that comes with your rear bumper. I required a longer bolt than what was supplied, I don't remember what the length was, but the bolt they supply to go through the cam hinge is the right size (i think it's 2.5" long). I would suggest switching that cam bolt out with a shouldered bolt to prevent rattles down the road.
