Default Stock Rubicon BFG KM2 review/ opinion

For those who have the factory Rubicon KM2s, how do you like them for light offroad use and DD? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on 2013 Rubi wheels with the KM2s. I'd then move up to 35s in 2-3 years when i'll have a few more $$$. In the mean time i'd get a lift to compensate for the 35s in the future. What do you guys think?

I'm very happy with mine. However the stock Rubicon tire is the original KM, not the KM2. It's the only size still made with the original tread pattern.

great tire. very quiet on the freeway (wind nose is louder than tire noise), and I was VERY impressed with the traction I had at Moab

The 10th Anniversary Rubicons have KM2's. They are a slightly larger size tire also if I recall correctly.

I believe the 10th anniversary models have 265 70 17s KM2s..the KM2s don't come in the 255 75 17 size that comes on other rubicons. The 265s are slightly wider and slightly shorter, neither of which you can really tell with the naked eye.

Not a bad offroad tire and decent in the snow, but I do a lot of highway driving so they tend to cup in the front. It's not a front end or alignment issue since I just had it all done, it's because I tend to wait too long to rotate tires (I drive 5000 kms every 6 weeks).

I say if you just drive to work and back during the week and recreational on weekends, go for it. But if you take long road trips, look for something else.
