Just trying to figure out how ppl with jeeps get as good mpg as our 2015 mercedes gla250 with auto start stop lol. 26 town 32 highway. Lol so funny

Lol!

I didn't nothing different beside going synthetic. Used same 5-30w as recommended. Hopefully it stays in the 20s on hwy. It's not a daily driver. Don't know if that matters?

I've run nothing but synthetic for 3 years in 2 jeeps and never get above 20 mpg.

I wouldn't base any conclusions on less than at least 3 or 4 tankfuls under the same conditions, and same gasoline blend.

I went back to stsndard 10w30.. synthetic made all my seals leaked. Replaced all seals and kept standard oil.

I wonder why. I've never had synthetic cause leaks in anything I've run it in, including my JK. (I'm running 5W-30 conventional in my JK now.

Theory is it had 50,000miles with standard oil. I switched to synthetic oil and the seals sweld. Plus i burn through about a quart every 500 - 700miles. So I rather buy a quart of 10w30 of standard penzoil.
