Torn between a 265 tire and a 285 tire.

2010 JK 2-door here, TF levelling kit, 3.73 6-speed, rest stock.

Have tried 265/75R16 and 285/75R16, same tire model.

Prefer looks and (probable) wheeling capabilities of the 285, but don't like the sluggishness or losing 6th gear on highway.

Prefer the more nimble feel of the 265's, and getting 6th back, but have to admit, love the look of those 285's...

Which will I settle on? I don't know yet.

Everything's a tradeoff.

If you have one, you'll want the other. And vice versa.

If you regear, go for the 285's.
