SD=San Diego. I grew up in Chula Vista, and my folks still live there, but some folks will ignore this thread thinking it's about South Dakota. Anyway, there were some videos just posted up of a trail down by the border that I've always wanted to run (drive right next to its entry a couple times a year when heading out to San Diego). Here's a video by LosRios Overland Club (1st part of 3) ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXeZVnm4MRw Last year I ran the Mojave Trail. Here's my video of that (start at 4:25 to skip the non-Mojave stuff beforehand) ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9UCabyrYfI Three things you should have to run these:

1. A buddy in another Jeep.
2. The book "Guide to Southern California Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails" by Wells for Valley of the Moon and Elliot Mine.
3. The book "Mojave Road Guide" by Casebier for the Mojave Trail.

Have fun out there!
