Default Wheeling and insurance

Hypothetical question: will insurance typically cover damage sustained while wheeling off road? Or am I on my own if I roll my Jeep on the trails?

I don't want to ask my agent, because I don't want to raise any red flags (e.g. a note in my file to investigate extra carefully if I ever file a claim).

Anybody ever filed a claim for off-road damage and had it covered?

I know Roddog had his insurance cover a new axle in his Rubicon when the dealership wouldn't cover it under warranty. So I would guess they would, but not sure if all would.

I asked my agent specifically about this scenario and he said it would be covered no matter how it happened. Hopefully I won't have to find out. Other agents may say otherwise.

I know of people that have gotten covered. I think as long as your on something that could be even remotely considered a road that you'd be okay. I would ask my agent. They cannot jack your rates up for nothing.

Insurance should cover anything you break....if you're willing to make the claim and watch your rates rise...

My agent is my dad. He wheels with this Rover and understands. Unfortunately, I don't wheel, though, cause I can't afford mods.

Nope. I know better! (Sorry couldn't resist.) I've just lived in Minnesota, Colorado, Virginia, and Georgia. Adjusters are horrible, but most agents are really good to work with. They're not going to say anything and risk losing your business.
